Construction
We are growing! Have you checked out the recent updates? We are setting up the foundation for categorizing the breast cancer-related links we find from all over the web. We now have a few categories that you can access by the buttons along the top of the site. A few links have been added so far, but much more is to come. We plan to add a few more pleasing elements, as well - we are looking to have a site that is not only functional, but beautiful as well. Easy access to information that is easy on the eyes!
Within the next couple of weeks, we will be adding a form through which you may submit links as you find them. We welcome any and all links and reviews. We (several survivors, caregivers, and physicians) will go over them and add them to our site. We also hope to add a form for feedback so that you can tell us what you like or don't like about the site. Help us shape it to your needs!
The Path - "Buy a Brick! Build a Path!"
"The Path" we would like to construct will be a virtual pink brick path showing your support of The Path of Pink. We will have various sizes of "paving" supplies that you can "purchase" to add to our path. Each donation for a stone will allow for the honoring of a loved one.
In addition to the pink path, we are in need of sponsors for our various events. If you would like to help us attend an expo as an exhibitor, we will proudly display your logo on our booth and on our website. Please see the Current Needs section, below, for some upcoming sponsorship opportunities.
Survivor Style!
We are very excited to be moving forward on our clothing line. With the help of local designers and young women from SADA, we have a couple dozen design sketches and one prototype already. Robin Peterson, Tiffany Russell, Shannon Sabbag and Emma Zwissler are several designers we are working with right now. After a meeting with them to discuss prototyping and production, we have determined that we may even be able to have a few items out for Christmas (with enough donations!)!
How exciting is that!?!? But, we do need one more key ingredient to be sure we are covering, literally, our target audience: a focus group. If you are a survivor, or know a survivor, that is between the ages of 20 and 45, please contact us. We need your help! We are looking for an informal group that will help us review our designs to be sure they are covering any scarring and breast forms.
